Fighting LGBTQ+ Discrimination
Healthcare professionals of all kinds should have the knowledge necessary to service the community, and no one should have to fight for their rights as a patient. However, discrimination in health care settings endangers LGBTQ people’s lives through delays or denials of medically necessary care and this can end fatally. This exhibition identifies the causes and effects of mental, physical, and sexual health discrimination against the LGBTQ community. It aims to educate healthcare providers it is their duty to care for all people regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
